| Biography | ensemble "ALBA MUSICA KYO" is a group based on 3 Japanese musicians (Toyohiko Satoh, Chiyomi Yamade and Taka Kitazato) resident of Holland. They perform Europian music composed between 14C and 17C, including some contemporary music, as well as those which are based on traditional Japanese tunes. Often they work with a few more musicians together depending on the music they perform. "Lute" is the centre of the group with a voice, woodwind instruments, string instruments and percussions. "KYC" means in Japanese; "the Capital", "Today", "Crazy", "Bridge", or "Harmony" at the same time. And "ALBA" is "Dawn" or "Beginning". Therefore the name of the group can mean; "Dawn of today's musdic" or "Beginning of crazy music", or even "The start of noble Japanese music, etc... The members of this recording: |
